The Physician Assistant (PA) OR Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work along side of fellowship trained orthopaedic traumatologists in a clinic/inpatient setting. This role may be directly responsible for post op care, ER follow ups, lower acuity orthopaedic care. The role will require someone that would be comfortable making inpatient rounds for the orthopaedic trauma service as needed. This role would require someone that is comfortable with fracture management and working with patients that have experienced traumatic musculoskeletal injuries.

The APP-Ambulatory (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) functions as an integral part of the healthcare team. Serves various roles, including working directly alongside faculty and staff, providing care to the entire spectrum of patient acuity levels, working semi-autonomously, and serving as a provider to initiate appropriate care, including laboratory studies and/or imaging as indicated, at the front end of a patient's visit. The APP-Ambulatory works in the ambulatory/clinic setting only. Orthopaedic APP will work with 3 pediatric Orthopaedic surgeons by managing Orthopaedic urgent care (Pediatric Ortho-On-Demand) and other clinical needs as determined.
