The Missouri Orthopaedic Institute (School of Medicine – Department of Orthopaedic Surgery) – Central Missouri’s largest freestanding Orthopaedic center – is seeking a highly motivated, engaged, and committed Business Services Consultant who is interested in joining a fast-paced, highly productive team.
Our Orthopaedic service talent teams include: Attending Physicians, Fellow/Resident Physicians, Extender Practitioners, Nurses, ATC/OTCs, Clinical Administrative Coordinators, Research Faculty, Research Technical Teams, and Students. Our providers have clinical locations in Columbia, Jefferson City, Boonville, Liberty and Springfield. The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in the success of sustaining our department’s mission: advance the clinical, research and teaching components of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Missouri.
This position will partner with departmental staff to support the overall culture and advancement of the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and C3 Orthopaedics Initiative (Comprehensive, Cutting Edge, Caring Culture), which fosters a fast learning and continuously improving organization to further our mission.

-Serve as the primary lead of internal Department Workforce Operations such as:
---Support and aid in the development of positions within the department
---Support the SOM’s market reviews of the Department’s staff
---Coordinate all Faculty and Staff recruitment coordination (interview scheduling, booking travel, itinerary development and coordination, and applicant tracking)
---Maintain Department’s New Faculty and Staff onboarding Handbook; which includes Department SOM and education on SOM/Health systems requirements.
---Coordinate all Faculty and Staff Onboarding & Offboarding (this includes developing a structure for badge request and accesses)
---Coordinate all Visiting Professors; developing and confirming itinerary meets Department Chairs offices protocols and expectations
---Schedule and oversee employee engagement to include quarterly staff meeting and staff recognition events.
---Maintain Workforce Operations SharePoint and identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance organization and resources.
---Manage the Department’s Job Shadow & Observer program
---Coordinate Volunteer appointments
---Responsible for the management of the part-time employees who work in the Department’s Workforce Operations office
---Work closely, and in conjunction with, the SOM HRP and Specialist staff who support the Department’s staff
