The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. It is desirable for candidates to be Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and be fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma.
Teaching responsibilities may include resident, medical school teaching and fellow education in Trauma Surgery.
Clinical responsibilities may include clinical service at the Health System Hospitals as well as on call responsibilities.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include department sponsored research projects. It is desirable for candidates to have experience in either relevant laboratory or clinical research. Evidence of scholarship and publications is required in the Clinician- Educator track.
