The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) and the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Must have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and clinical care.
Teaching responsibilities may include participation in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing outpatient and inpatient consultative services in a Sports Medicine practice at the UPHS Health System and the VA Medical Center hospitals as well as on call responsibilities.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include Research or scholarship responsibilities will include clinical or orthopaedic basic science research and will be dependent on the candidate's interests. Evidence of scholarship is required for the Clinician Educator track.
Candidates must be board certified/board eligible by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
