Job Summary

Specialization:  General Orthopaedic Surgeon or Foot and Ankle Specialty.

Location:  Mankato, Minnesota (see “Where We Are” for details)

Qualification:  Must have completed a residency program prior to starting.  Fellowship optional. Must be licensed to practice in Minnesota or in the process of obtaining licensure.

Wages / Salary:  We offer a competitive guaranteed base pay for the first year. Subsequent earnings are based on production and allocation of ancillary revenues. Expected future earnings to be shared as the interview process advances. Generally ownership in practice is granted after successfully passing Board exam. Ownership includes buy-in to the real estate holding company.

Company Leadership:  All shareholders hold a seat on the Board of Directors and are active in providing input into the day-to-day operations and future endeavors of the company along with the Administrative team.

Work Schedule and Environment:  Full-time status preferred. Physicians generally have two office days per week. Physicians generally have two surgical days per week. Most surgeries are performed in our partially owned Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) which is located adjacent to our clinic. More complex cases are performed in a local hospital. Additionally, most physicians have one day of outreach per week where they do clinic and surgery, usually on alternating weeks.

Since 1957, The Orthopaedic & Fracture Clinic has provided southern Minnesota with outstanding bone, joint, and muscle care. Our eight-physician owned and Board led practice employs approximately 100 employees and has grown to serve 10 different rural communities where we proudly provide outreach and patient-centered treatment plans with exceptional care through nonsurgical treatments, orthopaedic surgery, and rehabilitation programs.

With a specialized, comprehensive team of orthopaedic surgeons, physician assistants, physical and occupational therapists, certified athletic trainers, and friendly support staff, we are among the most experienced orthopaedic groups in Minnesota. OFC is a leader in providing specialized care for orthopaedic injuries and conditions for the entire region. Our specialty-trained doctors offer expertise in the spine, foot and ankle, upper extremity, and hand as well as joint reconstruction, fractures and trauma and sports medicine.

Ancillary endeavors include onsite X-ray, MRI’s, Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine, and Back Care Center. Our ambulatory surgery center is located adjacent to our clinic in Mankato. We are proud to be team physicians to the Mavericks at Minnesota State University, Mankato since 1972 and provide athletic training services to many local high schools.
