Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon – Stanford University

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a board certified/eligible orthopaedic surgeon specializing in orthopaedic hand to join the department at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank on the Medical Center Line (MCL). The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Preference will be given to candidates who have shown a demonstrated commitment to a career as a clinician scientist. Academic line/rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. We expect the successful candidate to provide surgical and non-surgical care for orthopaedic patients and produce scholarly work in the candidate’s major areas of interest, as well as teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students. The successful applicant must be eligible for a California Medical License, hold a doctorate degree, be board-certified or board-eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, and have completed at least one year of hand fellowship.
