The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor/Professor level in the subspecialty of orthopaedic traumatology. The qualified applicant will be interested in a leadership position in the Trauma Division. The ideal candidate should be academically active in orthopaedic trauma and should hold leadership aspirations to grow and guide a busy clinical division at a level one center. Responsibilities include clinical activities and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

From general orthopaedics and sports medicine to knee disorders, hip conditions, joint reconstruction, spine surgery, and pediatric orthopaedics, we offer treatments for the simple to the most complex orthopaedic conditions. Our nationally-recognized experts focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries for both adults and children. Qualifications Include:
• A medical degree from an accredited medical school;
• Completion of an accredited orthopaedic residency training program;
• Completion of trauma fellowship training;
• Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
• Board certification in orthopaedic surgery.
Qualified physician applicants should have a significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. As part of an academic faculty, dedication to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows will be required. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research.
Salary commensurate with experience.
