Asst/Assoc Prof (F&A) Med-Orthopedic Surgery - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (22008452)   POSITION NOTICE Foot and Ankle Surgery Department of Orthopaedic Surgery University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine   The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank, appointment stream (nontenure), in the subspecialty of foot and ankle surgery. Responsibilities include clinical activities and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows at one of the top orthopedic training programs in the country.   The foot and ankle division is on the cutting edge of clinical care delivery and research innovation.  The division maintains a validated patient-reported outcomes platform and the Foot and Ankle Injury Research [F.A.I.R] group provides a broad research footprint in the areas of clinical outcomes, robotic and kinematic analysis, and musculoskeletal bioengineering.  The division also maintains an active national leadership presence in the field.    One of the nation's top orthopedic programs, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery offers a wide range of specialty services, uses innovative techniques, and conducts vital research. From general orthopedics and sports medicine to knee disorders, hip conditions, and joint reconstruction, we offer treatments for the simple to the most complex orthopedic conditions. Our nationally recognized experts focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries for both adults and children.   Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited program Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Board-eligible or Board-certified in orthopedic surgery Completion of an accredited orthopedic residency training program and fellowship specialty training in foot and ankle surgery. Qualified applicants should have significant interest and ability in clinical care, teaching, and research.  Academic rank [Assistant (0-5 years of experience) / Associate (6-9 years of experience)] is commensurate with prior academic achievements and experience.  Application closing date N/A (open until filled).
