Job Description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Practice full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient Anesthesia including, but not limited to: General and Bariatric Surgery, Breast Surgery, Colo-Rectal Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT, Gynecological and Vascular Surgery. Provide anesthesia support to Labor & Delivery unit. Perform all tasks that are necessary for the department to provide quality care and overall patient satisfaction with anesthesiology services. Provide oversight of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists and assist them to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities. Coordinate with the nursing and surgical staff to ensure that the daily operating room schedule runs efficiently. Manage the Pre-Anesthesia Evaluation process. Resolve medical issues by evaluating patients and making the final decision to cancel the procedure or to refer for further consultation The successful applicant will be a member of an interdisciplinary team and will work collaboratively with our physicians and CRNAs to support Surgical Services. Supervising and training residents, medical students, and observers in the area of anesthesia. Serving on committees and task forces within the hospital or medical center. Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure that patients receive safe and effective care.
