The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting for a Board Certified or Board Eligible, Full-Time physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a special interest in the comprehensive management of orthopaedic patients. This position will also provide primary orthopaedic care to veterans at the Baltimore Veteran’s Medical Center.
Candidates must be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPM&R) and eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting. Competitive candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, clinical patient care, and research (clinical, biomechanics, or basic biological science). Proficiency in the use of ultrasound for the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions is preferred.
Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.
