The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body and is seeking highly qualified physiatrists to complement our non-surgical Orthopaedic Surgery practice.
The incumbents will evaluate and treat patients with non-operative spine disorders within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. Physiatrists will work with an interdisciplinary team, including orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons, pain management, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and physical therapists. Patient care will include performing and interpreting electrodiagnostic studies with opportunities for interventional spine procedures.
The selected candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching, and research at our various UC San Diego Health locations.
The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.
