Job Description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery within the School of Medicine at the University of California, San Diego (http://ortho.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking a research scientist or clinician-scientist who has a cutting-edge, translational research program in musculoskeletal physiology and disease. Responsibilities include directing a successful research program, engaging the classroom teaching and the laboratory training of UCSD undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, and residents, and service to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience. Series will include 50% Ladder Rank / 50% In-Residence with secured extramural funding or 100% Ladder Rank.
