Job Description

Teach resident orthopedic staff regarding practical and theoretical aspects of shoulder/elbow surgery. Medical students instruction regarding application of orthopedic surgical techniques. Patient care related to shoulder/elbow surgery in conjunction with resident education. Basic and applied research in Orthopedics. Emergency room coverage - general call. Administrative including committee work in hospital and medical school. Attendance at continuing education courses including participation. Upstate Orthopedics is affiliated with the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Our practice is located at the Upstate Bone & Joint Center, the only state-of-the-art specialty center for comprehensive orthopedic care in Syracuse, New York.

We offer consultations, evaluations, and treatment for the full spectrum of orthopedic conditions, including sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, hand and wrist microsurgery, upper extremity surgery, orthopedic oncology, adult and pediatric spine surgery, foot and ankle surgery, joint replacement/reconstruction, and orthopedic trauma.

Although we are located in Onondaga County, patients travel from a 15-county region to Upstate Orthopedics because of our level of expertise in all orthopedic specialties at a single destination.
