The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a physician with a focus on neurorehabilitation. The candidate will be working with inpatients and outpatients at UW Health locations. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in research, clinical activities and education.

Duties will include provision of clinical care with a focus on neurorehabilitation. Clinically, the candidate will work with neuro inpatients (including, but not limited to, stroke, TBI, SCI, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons disease, cerebral palsy, spasticity management, prosthetics management) and other inpatients at the UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital. Additionally, the candidate will perform consultations at University Hospital and other institutions as indicated for all patients requiring a rehabilitation consult. Finally, the candidate will see outpatient neurorehabilitation patients at the UW Health Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic.
The candidate may be asked to provide clinical care at Central Wisconsin Center and/or Clearview Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Center. The candidate will be expected to participate in the Rehabilitation Medicine call schedule.
The candidate will be expected to increase the rehabilitation medicine practice through referrals from the region and state; to participate in outreach activities via presentations and/or clinics at hospitals and medical centers throughout the state and region; to have an active role in the training and education of medical students, and residents and fellows in the area of rehabilitation medicine.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, university service and research. Additionally, the successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

M.D. or D.O. Board Certified or Board Eligible in PMR.
MINIMUM YEARS AND TYPE OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE:
Completion of an ACGME accredited PM&R residency program. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE:
WI medical license or eligible for WI medical license.
