POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is seeking a Spine Rehab Physiatrist. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The incumbent will primarily be responsible for the medical management of UW Health's non-operative spine disorders and pain patient populations. The incumbent will perform interventional pain procedures as part of the treatment of the nonoperative spine disorders and pain patient populations in an ambulatory surgery center setting. Additionally, the incumbent will perform smaller procedures (e.g., trigger point injections, botox injections, and ultrasound guided injections) in the outpatient clinic setting. The incumbent will participate in the care and treatment of non-operative spine disorders and pain patients in the region via UW Health's outreach clinics/program. The incumbent will participate in medical student, resident, fellow and other learner education, including clinical and didactic teaching, especially with our ACGME-accredited Pain Medicine Fellowship program. The incumbent will pursue research projects that supports his/her academic and/or clinical interests and that align with the mission of the Rehabilitation Medicine Division. The incumbent will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health.
