Assistant Professor (PCSM) Med-Orthopedic Surgery - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23002105)   Primary Care Sports Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine   The Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), with a long history of excellence and dedication to sports medicine, is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor level (appointment stream track) in the subspecialty of sports medicine or primary care with musculoskeletal focus. The Division of Primary Care Sports Medicine is primarily housed within clinical space at the UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center, one of the largest sports medicine facilities in the country, and the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. The UPMC Sports Medicine Program provides care for high school, collegiate, and professionals teams in Western Pennsylvania. This position requires a strong commitment to the care of the athlete at all levels. Qualifications: Medical degree from an accredited program Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Board-eligible or Board-certified in their primary specialty Completion of accredited residency and fellowship specialty training Experience with athletic team coverage required Experience and a strong skill set in MSK Ultrasound preferred Qualified physician applicants should have a significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. As part of an academic faculty, dedication to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows will be required. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research.
