Job Description   The Orthopedics Department, Division of Sports Medicine at Emory University is recruiting a full-time, non-operative sports medicine physician to join the rapidly expanding Orthopedic and Sports Medicine service line.  Candidates must have completed an ACGME Sports Medicine Fellowship and be board-eligible or certified in Sports Medicine. We will emphasize those candidates who are greater than 5 years out of their fellowship training with a specific clinical and research interest and/or training in Female Health/Woman’s Sports Medicine to help lead our Woman’s Sports Medicine Program but will consider all eligible applicants.   We seek motivated candidates to join a premier academic sports medicine program who would like to deliver highest level of clinical care, community-based programs, with a goal to be a leader regionally and/or nationally in respective fields of interest.  The position will focus on the evaluation and management of non-operative musculoskeletal patient care, comprehensive management of the female athlete, with an emphasis on an active patient population.  There will be support to develop innovative research and programmatic opportunities in Woman’s Sports Medicine, and other interest areas.  High school coverage and community involvement will be required as well as the potential for collegiate and/or professional sports opportunities for this desirable position.    A commitment to high quality patient care as well as the teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare providers is required.  There will be opportunities for advancement and academic leadership positions within the department.
