The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Hand and Upper Extremity, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the subspecialty of the hand and upper extremity. The qualified physician will be actively involved in patient care; medical student, resident, and fellow teaching in the area of hand and upper extremity; and orthopedic research.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited program
Eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Board-eligible or Board-certified in orthopedic surgery
Completion of fellowship specialty training
Qualified physician applicants should have a significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research. Academic rank [Assistant (0-5 years of experience) / Associate (6-9 years of experience)] is commensurate with prior academic achievements and experience.
