Job Description

Responsible for providing physician services, including assessing and managing patients in our Orthopedic practice, ambulatory surgery center, within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing. Orthopedic Surgeon JOIN TEAM UPG. The University of Virginia Physicians Group is seeking a General Orthopedic Surgeon to join our team in Culpeper, Virginia.   ASPIRE TO WORK WITH THE BEST.  Our busy practice is affiliated with the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Virginia, and has direct access to the University of Virginia Medical Center, ranked #1 in Virginia by U.S. News & World Report. ASPIRE TO PERFORM AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon with current licensure to join a team of two other surgeons committed to patient-focused care, interdisciplinary collaboration, teaching and clinical research. This is a full time position with the opportunity for a non-paid faculty appointment (academic time is negotiable for candidates with an academic interest). ASPIRE TO LIVE IN THE BEST. Completion of Accredited Residency in chosen specialty, Experience: None Licensure: Board certification in specialty (if newly graduated from residency, must be obtained within 2 years of graduation) must be kept current, Unrestricted license to practice within the Commonwealth of Virginia, Current DEA certificate without restriction Skills: Experience utilizing a personal computer and computerized scheduling. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard.  Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs.  May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
