Values-Based Culture Carnegie Classification Hispanic-Serving Institution Serve as faculty member in the Department of Orthopaedics in Lubbock, Texas; teach medical students, residents, and fellows in the area of orthopaedic surgery; provide medical care to patients and maintain clinical records; engage in clinical research. Org Level 7 512701 - Ortho Surgery Dept Lbk Genl Org Level 1 Texas Tech Univ Health Sciences Ctr Department Ortho Surgery Dept Lbk Genl Major/Essential Functions Contribute's to the university's mission through teaching, patient care, research and service.  Teaching residents and medical students. Giving lectures and teaching sessions to residents and medical students. Medical practice in areas of orthopaedic surgery. Adhere to instituional and departmental polices and procedures. Occasional Duties Maintain or develop an academic research program in the fields of Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic surgery.   May conduct inpaitent teaching rounds.  Required Qualifications M.D., D.O., or Foreign medical degree equivalent; Completion of orthopaedic surgery residency; Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery; Eligible to obtain a Texas State Medical License. Preferred Qualifications Fellowship trained in hand surgery Required Attachments Resume / CV Pay Statement Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan.
