The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, a nationally recognized center of excellence in patient care, education, and research, is currently recruiting an orthopaedic sports medicine surgeon. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License. This is a unique opportunity for an orthopaedic surgeon to help lead and build a busy academic practice with outstanding outcomes, education, and research. Successful candidates will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education, and scholarly activities that advance clinical medicine. Key Duties · Leader in sports medicine · Support a multi-discipline team to advance sports partnerships and outreach of UT Southwestern in the DFW Metroplex · Improve the access of care and maximize partnerships · Work with team from high school to professional in the DFW Metroplex · Develop a robust research program in the clinical outcomes, the surgical techniques, and innovations, in the basic science and the biomechanical disciplines related to total sports medicine · Collaborate with other Departments and researchers to achieve research funding status · Support the Mission of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery in the highest clinical quality, in teaching and training, and in achieving the highest recognition at the national and international level Candidates must be board-certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery and eligible for a Texas Medical License.
