Job Description

The PM&R Section in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University seeks a physiatrist with an interest in neurorehabilitation to join the department the Clinician Educator Line (CE). This position is primarily based in the Stanford University Neurosciences Health Center and the Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. Clinical duties include outpatient management of patients with spinal cord injury, stroke, and other chronic neuromuscular disorders; and coverage of the PM&R consult service at Stanford University Hospital. Responsibilities also include mentorship and teaching of our PM&R residents, co-workers and ancillary staff. The successful applicant must be eligible for a California Medical License and board certified/eligible in PM&R. Candidates with fellowship training in Spinal Cord Injury or any other neurorehabilitation subspecialty are encouraged to apply, although fellowship training is not required for this position. The expected base pay range for this position is: $220,000-$305,000 This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty experience. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.
