Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in orthopaedic surgery with a required fellowship in trauma with focus on Geriatric patients. The individual hired will also be employed fulltime in the University of Minnesota Physicians practice group and must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota
About the Job
The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time orthopaedic surgeon with an expertise in general orthopedic fracture care and geriatric trauma fracture care be hired at the rank of Assistant Professor or above on the academic or clinician track.
Responsibilities include patient care at TRIA and Methodist Hospitals and affiliated training programs and clinical sites as needed. Academic responsibilities include a commitment to research and becoming a leader in the science of geriatric care delivery and collaborating with other University departments on geriatric trauma along with full participation in overall departmental and interdisciplinary activities including teaching of medical students, orthopaedic residents and fellows, research, and service activities.
