Job Description

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Academic Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our team of nationally recognized surgical experts. This position is for an Orthopedic Adult Reconstruction fellowship trained faculty physician, who is Board Certified or Board Eligible and is interested in the further development of a robust joint program and has areas of interest around advanced technologies, and a sub-interest in knee arthroplasty. The Orthopedic Department of the University of Kansas Health System in the Kansas City, Kansas consist of 20 fellowship trained orthopedic surgeons with expertise in all orthopedic subspecialties.  Providers include multiple non operative physicians and APP’s. The department educates medical students, residents, and fellows. Surgical facilities consist of a well-equipped ASC, surgical specialty hospital, and a large academic hospital. recourses including personnel for clinical and laboratory research are available.  Compensation is very competitive with an attractive start up package. 

About the position and program

  • Opportunity for a total joint – hip and knee reconstructive surgeon to help grow and expand our program
  • Successful candidate will have fellowship training and expertise in all aspects of hip and knee joint replacement surgery with a specialization in knee replacement surgery
  • Training and Proficiency in Robotic surgical treatment modalities is highly desired
  • Will be involved in clinical teaching of residents and fellows, as well as clinical research opportunities
  • Multidisciplinary care given in a highly collaborative environment
