Faculty Position Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery Division of Orthopaedic Oncology Job Summary: This faculty position will have clinical, research and administrative responsibilities within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Division of Orthopaedic Oncology, and the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. This individual will serve as an attending physician in the Division of Orthopaedic Oncology, with focus on the care and treatment of children and adult patients with benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors . This includes outpatient care, as well as operative responsibilities for the division. This individual should be motivated to play a major role in the research of stem cell applications in bone and cartilage regeneration, tissue banking, and developing targeted therapies for sarcomas. Duties and responsibilities (include but may not be limited to): Responsible for holding clinic sections and for inpatient attending duties at Sylvester’s main campus or one of our other clinical practice sites. Conduct research into stem cell applications in bone and cartilage regeneration, tissue banking, and developing targeted therapies for sarcomas. Serve as Co-Leader of the Sarcoma Site Disease Group for the Oncology Service Line at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC or the Cancer Center) Position Requirements: Qualifications should include a demonstrated track record of excellence in patient care, peer-reviewed publications and the potential to serve as principal investigator of cutting-edge clinical trials for multiple myeloma patients.  Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery is required. Active or eligibility to obtain a Florida Medical License.
