Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeon
The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a fellowship trained Sports Medicine surgeon to join our Sports Medicine practice in Rochester, MN. The current highly skilled Orthopedic Surgery colleagues provide advanced care in complex hip, knee, and shoulder sports injuries. The non-operative Sports Medicine staff also provide state-of-the art care, including regenerative medicine interventions, and has world renowned experts in the areas of musculoskeletal ultrasound. Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine provides comprehensive coverage for several professional teams. The Department also supports an ACGME-accredited fellowship in sports medicine for one Orthopedic Surgery residency graduate.
A strong commitment to integrated clinical research and orthopedic education is expected. The position is 1.0 FTE clinical/surgical into which the candidate is expected to build a clinical research and education footprint. Protected time for research and education can be earned competitively as the clinical practice matures, but the primary focus is establishing a differentiated, destination surgical practice.
This successful applicant will work primarily at Mayo Clinic’s Orthopedic and Sports Medicine facility in Rochester, MN. This facility is a state-of-the-art building containing specialists in orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, musculoskeletal radiology, athletic training, physical therapy, sports nutrition, and sports performance.
