Job Description

HCA's Kendall Regional Medical Center is seeking a founding program director for the new orthopaedic surgery residency program planned to start in 2023. Qualified Candidates: - Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery - Minimum of 4 years clinical experience post residency/fellowship - Minimum of 2 years of experience as an associate program director of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery program or 3 years of leadership positions at an academic medical center or healthcare facility - Must have excellent communication skills - bilingual in Spanish is a plus - Desire to develop an orthopedic surgery residency program - 50% administration/50% patient care - Program will eventually have 10 residents (adding 2 per year) Incentive/Benefits Package: - Salary will be dependent upon experience - Full comprehensive benefits; medical/dental/vision/retirement plan - Incentives/bonuses - CME allowance - Malpractice coverage - Relocation assistance About Kendall Regional Medical Center: - 412-bed, Level I adult and pediatric trauma facility - 80,000 ER visits annually - American Burn Association Verified Burn Center - Designated Top Performing Hospital by The Joint Commission - 14 ORs - da Vinci surgical robotics available - Level 3 NICU, PICU and a 12 bed pediatric unit - ACGME accredited programs From beautiful beaches, the nightlife of South Beach, historic hideaways in Coral Gables or the endless shopping opportunities in Coconut Grove, Miami is a highly desired place to vacation and even more so to live.
