The Division of Physical Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible physiatrist with additional subspecialty board certification/eligibility in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. This position will join our existing Spinal Cord Injury team with the goal of expanding clinical services, training programs, and research opportunities. This individual will work within a level 1 trauma center with collaborations between Departments of Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Neurology in the care of individuals with acute and chronic spinal cord injury. This position will provide inpatient rehabilitation services within the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital with additional services possible including seeing patients in other settings such as acute care consultation, outpatient clinic, and extended care facilities.
Applicants should have a strong academic interest in pursuing advancement in research, clinical care and/or teaching. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. Completion of an ACGME Spinal Cord Injury fellowship or equivalent experience is preferred. Salary is competitive and benefits are excellent.
