About the Job Researcher 5 Orthopedic Spine Surgery Job Duties: Manuscript writing and submission to scientific journals.  (20%) Complete Manuscripts and submit to peer-reviewed journals. Prepare and present abstracts for podium or poster.  (20%) Write abstracts for submission to annual scientific meetings. Prepare power point presentations for presentation at meetings. Present accepted abstracts as podium or poster presentations during scientific meetings. Plan and coordinate research for prospective research studies with the Spine focus. (25%) Helping to develop studies Help to modify efficiency and quality of studies Finding new avenues for investigation Analytics of data Help identify potential funding opportunities for research studies. (25%) Write research grant proposals for submission for funding Participate in monthly research meetings. (10%) Spine Study Group meetings developing general relevant and novel research ideas for grant applications Qualifications Required/Preferred Qualifications: • Degree and/or credentials: PhD required or MD with one or more years of spine research training required. • Develop of research ideas, projects and study protocols • Correspond with the Institutional Review Board • Research database design, data collection and analysis.
