Orthopaedic Joint Reconstruction Surgeon
Duke Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks BC/BE, orthopaedic surgeons to join the Duke University practice. Ideal candidates will be fellowship trained in hip preservation or equivalent including skills in hip arthroscopy, endoscopic repairs, hip surgical dislocation, and periacetabular osteotomies. Candidates should also be comfortable taking trauma related call with residents.
Practice will be primarily based at Duke University Hospital and/or Duke Regional Hospital. Operating platforms include the Duke University Ambulatory Surgery Center, Duke Regional Hospital (where we have an ERAS program for PAOs), as well as other Duke locations. Clinics will likely be based at Duke Arringdon Road clinic as well as the Duke Sports Science Institute.
Applicants should be committed to excellent patient care, as well as teaching, scholarship, and/or research. Interest in outcomes research in Hip preservation – arthroscopic, open, or both, is a plus. The position will offer opportunity to perform other procedures in hip or other areas that are within the scope of general Orthopaedics
