Job Description

Wake Forest School of Medicine is seeking a national leader as our new Chair of the Department of Orthopaedics.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a thriving academic and clinical department (26 academic locations, 3 research laboratories, 70 faculty, 2 residencies, 6 fellowships) and build on prior success, leveraging the talents of a diverse group of faculty, staff, residents, fellows, and students as our medical school and health system enter into a period of unprecedented growth including the construction of a second medical school campus in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The department is characterized by a highly collaborative and transparent culture where faculty have mutual respect for one another and are valued for their clinical, research and educational contributions and are supported in their growth in their particular areas of strength and interest. The department is very well rounded, and has high morale, very low turnover and our residency and fellowship programs are highly competitive and respected.
