Duke Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks BC/BE, orthopaedic surgeons to join the Duke University practice. Ideal candidates will have a focused interest in care of patients with hip pathology and be fellowship trained in hip preservation or equivalent including skills in hip arthroscopy, endoscopic repairs, hip surgical dislocation, and periacetabular osteotomies. Because of the nature of this practice the candidate should be comfortable with primary hip arthroplasty.   We have an active arthroplasty program, and the candidate would be expected to participate in clinical care protocols and pathways for both hip preservation and hip arthroplasty patients.  The candidate should be willing to manage complications from hip preservation and/or hip arthroplasty.   Candidates should also be comfortable taking trauma related call with residents. Ideal candidates will be fellowship trained in Adult Reconstruction (primary/revision hip and knee arthroplasty), and also have a strong interest in research and teaching. The clinical practice will be in Durham County, with surgical cases primarily performed at Duke University Hospital, and potentially time at the Durham VA Medical Center.
