Responsible for providing medical care as delegated by the physician. Essential job duties include: Perform new consults, post operative visits and nonoperative follow-up visits including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, and placing orders. Participate in hospital rounds with attending surgeons. Manage care of patients in collaboration with the attending surgeons. Triage patient via emergency room, trauma bay and transfer services. Communicate with different service lines to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and families as appropriate. Complete appropriate documentation.
