Summary The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Michigan is interviewing students for a summer intern position (up to 12 weeks). We are in the process of updating the chapters for a large epidemiological resource. The Burden of Musculoskeletal Diseases (BMUS), under the aegis of the US Bone and Joint Initiative (US BJI). The BMUS has multiple chapters that present results of cutting-edge epidemiological research for various rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. These include analyses of the prevalence, incidence, and costs of these conditions using various U.S. national databases and regional databases.
